Ryan Gravatt
Principal and Division Director
Since 2002 Ryan has worked in the online world using Web sites, e-mail and search engines to bolster public affairs and public relations campaigns for Fortune 100 companies, political campaigns, issue-advocacy organizations and membership associations.
Ryan has more than 800 published bylines to his credit from working as a newspaper reporter. Gravatt covered the Congressional beat in the nation's capital before becoming the bureau chief in Montgomery for the Birmingham Post-Herald where he covered politics, banking and finance regulations, energy issues, legislative sessions and national news occurring in Alabama. In 2000, the Associated Press Editors in Alabama recognized Gravatt as a finalist for the outstanding news coverage category for reporting on grand jury proceedings on a 1963 church bombing by Ku Klux Klan members.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Ryan is a big fan of the Chicago Cubs, and his Florida Gators. He's also a devoted husband and the proud father of two adorable kids.
Brad Jackson
Associate
Brad is a skilled e-newsletter writer, constructor of Web sites, and an experienced online tactician. Since joining Ryan in 2005 at Quicksilver Internet Solutions, and then at the Patriot Group, Brad has worked in the online arena on public affairs efforts, political campaigns, and for companies large and small.
Before getting into consulting, Brad was a grassroots organizer for several Republican political campaigns in Texas, including John Cornyn's 2002 U.S. Senate campaign. Brad utilizes his experience in grassroots politics to marry online tools with offline actions for campaigns and public affairs efforts.
Brad also spent three years working in the U.S. Senate as a policy wonk on issues such as health care, homeland security, and appropriations. In 2005, he was called back to the warmer weather and tastier Tex-Mex in Austin.
A graduate of the University of Texas, Brad is a rabid college football fan, who spends his time away from work following his Texas Longhorns, on a constant quest for great barbecue, and enjoying the great view of the Texas Hill Country off his back porch.
Mark Jackson
Project Manager
Mark joins the Patriot Group as a recent graduate of Harvard College with experience in online communications and public policy. He specializes in New Media and social networking.
Mark comes from the Romney campaign, where he managed Governor Romney's online presence on social networking sites, including Facebook, Myspace, Flickr, and other sites. He also monitored blogs for the campaign, assisted in various get-out-the-vote efforts, and updated and revised the campaign website. Mark previously researched health care policy at the Heritage Foundation, the leading conservative think tank in Washington, D.C.
Austin is a welcome change from Cambridge, Massachusetts, for Mark. He enjoys Austin's food, music, and warm weather.
Matt Schad
Designer
Matt is the man who sculpts our clients wants and wishes into amazing web designs. A graphic artist at heart, Matt began working with Ryan and Brad in 2006 and has become a vital part of the PGO team. Working with clients, and other members of the Patriot team, Matt designs all our Web sites as well as select mail pieces and other print media.
Matt spends his time away from the office creating art, composing music, and enjoying Austin, Texas while finishing his degree at the University of Texas.
Preston Broadfoot
Designer, Programmer
Preston has been designing and developing Web sites since 1998. He became a web consultant with the Patriot Group in 2007 when he left the position of Webmaster for the Office of the Governor of Texas to attend the University of Texas School of Law. In his four-year tenure at the Governor's Office, Preston single-handedly re-designed and implemented the Governor's Web site and developed Web sites for various divisions and commissions, including the Office of Economic Development, Texas Tax Reform Commission, and Border Governors Conference. In 2007, Preston founded and became President of a design firm, 4Elemental LLC. He is excited to be able to continue his work in the online public affairs arena by working closely with the Patriot Group, a leader in online strategic pursuits.
When not designing and developing Web sites, Preston pursues his law studies and serves as an editor on the TEXAS REVIEW OF LAW & POLITICS law journal, Executive Vice President for the Texas Chapter of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies, and Vice President of the UT Intellectual Property Law Society. Outside of law school, Preston is engaged in music production, audio and video engineering, and photography.
Preston is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BSBA, emphases in Information Systems and Finance.
