iPhone application will be reference tool for grassroots activists, political candidates, business leaders, lobbyists and elected officials

The Patriot Group, a Texas-based public affairs firm, today released a new iPhone application called PocketPatriot. The unique product provides up-to-date information and the ability to contact every member of the Texas Legislature. Using the database of contact information provided with PocketPatriot, individuals can connect with elected officials via their iPhone.

Ryan Gravatt, the head of the Online Division of The Patriot Group, said the new application will enhance communication between grassroots activists and elected officials. "We wanted to make constituent contact as easy as possible. Now, every Texan with an iPhone can use PocketPatriot to find and contact their State Representative and State Senator."

The initial application consists of detailed legislative information, office location and contact forms, official biographies, district maps, political party representation, committee assignments, as well as political campaign information. Enhancements to the application are already under development as well as plans to launch similar applications for other states. The application retails for $3.99 and can be downloaded on iTunes.
