This August we helped Congressman Mike Conaway give 1,50 Republicans an historic opportunity to participate in the building of the Republican Party Platform through a feature on Congressman Mike Conaway's Web site, http://www.MikeConaway.com.

In keeping with Congressman Conaway's efforts to open up the political process and engage Texans online, we launched a Platform for users to submit their thoughts and suggestions on three issues especially relevant to the Lone Star State – Energy, Healthcare, and Immigration. Congressman Conaway took the 1,500 submissions - word for word - to the committee responsible for building the GOP Platform for 2008.

Mike Conaway's Platform feature has accomplished something unthinkable just 12 years ago. It has included 1,500 Texans and Americans in the often closed-door process of shaping the Republican Party's direction for the next four years.
